I have been wearing high heels for years they were the first article of women’s clothing I put on. Pretty much putting up with the pain along with having my foot pointed when I take them off . The toes are smashed together in a triangle like the bow of a boat and bent upward. I have to walk a few feet barefoot before they return to normal. A couple of years ago I discovered Vivian Lou Insoles which are shown in the picture below.
The gel pad from the arch to just shy of the heel shifts your weight back from the ball of your foot to the heel. It more evenly distributes your weight across your foot.
Vivian Lou insoles help a great deal but the old ice trick makes the shoes even more comfortable. I wrote about this a couple of years ago on my other site www.chicladies.org. Recently I made a discovery that makes it even better. I was getting ready to go to a Vanity Club outing in Atlanta and had two new pairs of pumps to wear.
I inserted the zip lock plastic bags with the corner deep into the toe of each shoe pushing it in with my finger making sure it was all the way in. Then I filled the bags about a third of the way full with water and put them in the freezer over night. I did this three times on one shoe and the other needed a fourth time putting them on in between to check the fit. When the water froze each night it expanded gently stretching the shoe a little each time. The shoes pictured above are satin but the ones I did multiple times were black kid and black patent leather.
I travel every month to various places and most of the time bring Ms. Micki with me. That means bringing along everything that she needs to be girly especially a wig. Staying in hotels has its advantages like room and maid service but some drawbacks also. Typically I leave the room in the morning as Duke doing guy stuff returning around 3:00pm to become Micki.
When I leave the room at around 6:00pm with my heels clicking down the hall hair and makeup perfect I definitely look different. It used to bother me a great deal that the maids would see my wig stands on the dresser which, is the only hint that Duke and Micki are sharing a room. I was worried they might tell other staff and snicker about a crossdresser in the room when they saw me as Duke but not so much any more.
I discovered these wig hangers on Amazon and tried them out on my last trip.
They go together quickly and disassemble quickly storing flat for shipping. They are made heavier than to pink ones I have used and don’t break easily.
Maids don’t go into closets or open drawers so the wigs are out of site hanging in the closet. Wives traveling with crossdressers will appreciate the privacy also.
This new shapewear with hip pads garment is the next evolution of the Veronica line! It’s an outstanding piece of work as the testimony from Robyn Michaels states.
I cannot begin to tell you how I much I love the new Veronica 6 Open Bottom Girdle. But I will try!
Here is Why
I love the romance and feminine glamour of vintage fashions from the 1950s and 1960s, especially my preference for wearing garter style stockings rather than pantyhose or thigh highs. The new Veronica 6 has everything girls like us could want with an open bottom girdle. The six garters keep the seams of my vintage nylon stockings nice and straight which is important for making a good impression when out clubbing and dancing the night away. And the visual effect that the hip pads provides makes every dress style that much more alluring and feminine.
And I must admit to a greater sense of confidence in my appearance when wearing the Veronica 6 when out at more public places like restaurants and events. Also women take notice of the “curves in all the right places”. And the look is very “natural” and not artificial looking at all. The attention to detail (delicate lace trim at the hem of the girdle) also was noticed and greatly appreciated by a gentleman admirer who appreciates a girl who dresses to impress.
The Veronica 6 open bottom girdle is pin-up perfect, too! Classic glamour from Classic Curves International…what more could I ask for?
